Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang




Welcome to The University of Muhammadiyah Malang (Indonesia) "White Campus" was founded in 1964, at present it has 20.173 students coming from all provinces of Indonesia and some other countries (Malaysia, Singapore, Timor Leste, Thailand, Australia, China, Uzbekistan, Serbia, Poland, Germany, and South Africa).

UMM is an exotic campus which was built around the topography of the land. The land contained hills, bamboo trees and the Brantas River. The campus is green, lovely, picturesque, beautiful, shady and certainly comfortable for studying.



UMM has three campuses in which the locations are strategic and accessible via land, air or sea transportation. Over 20,000 students, both domestic and foreign, are studying at UMM. Our foreign students have come from countries such as: Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Egypt, East Timor, Europe, and America.




 In terms of facilities, UMM has provided the necessary equipment to support students comfortably with their studies. Facilities to support both academic and non-academic needs are available. The learning-teaching process and administration are supported by the adequate ICT facilities and management information system. As a result, the teaching-learning process at UMM is known as being efficient, up-to-date and student friendly.

As a long-established private university, UMM possesses competitiveness of the experience in organizing independent higher educational institution. In addition, UMM also has strong partnerships with many national and international institutions. UMM students are not only equipped with knowledge of science and technology in accordance with their major, but are also trained to have soft skills to assist them in developing excellent personality, strong self-independence, and outstanding professionalism.

To achieve these qualities, the students are required to take Personality and Leadership Development Training, Apprenticeship Program, and Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah Program. In addition, UMM students are also given English for Specific Purposes (ESP) courses equal to diploma 1 program. The students are also given computer and internet training prior to their first semester. These additional trainings are expected to enhance the quality of UMM graduates and to produce professional scholars who have excellent expertise and skills needed in this global era.
